Can anyone tell me if any other Oliver tractors used the same engine oil dipstick as the 550? It is a 1967. Thanks

A dipstick out of a 66/77/88, super 66/77/88 and 660/77/880 will work. The only thing different is the 550 has the number 55180352 stamped on it. The ones without the number will still give you the correct oil level.

The dip stick that is used on the 550 was only used on the 550 and related industrial tractors.  The cap is the same as used on the model 60 Row Crop and Standard.  If you have a cap from a 60, I would think you could modify the length of the dip rod from another model.  Let me know if you want to go that way and I can give you the measurements from my 550.     We used to do that all the time.  We never shut down our irrigation engines to check the oil.  After changing the oil we stared them and measured the oil level running, of course it would be much lower, thus we had to add to the dipstick.  To check the oil, we pulled the dipstick and stuck it in the irrigation water as it came from the well (always 52 degrees).  The oil level showed up real well on the cold dipstick.
