Just finished up a 2150 4WD for a customer today. Someone had stuck a 1145 Cat in it about 10 years ago. Now it's got a rebuilt 2-155 engine. It has 22.5:1 military pistons and sleeves in it, put a seal kit in the pump and turned it the whole way up, and a 3LM466 turbo on it. He wanted 250 horse so that's all the farther I turned the knob on the dyno since I didn't feel like junking his pto. I'd say we have in excess of 300. On the road it gets up to about 19 MPH in absolutely no time. I just wish I would have had it done in time do do some tillage work with it.

Yup, those military pistons do work well. L. Klingler's 2150 starts up just bumping the key. We still have more fuel to give if we need at 190hp. We're happy where it is at for now. Sure wish it had the outboard planetaries. Chopping corn, it only uses about 3.5 - 4 gal/hr compared to almost 6 gal/hr with the 3208's in our 2255 and 2-180. Did you buy all the kits from Sam Winer. He didn't have any when we were gonna redo the 2-155 and said something about a tractor dealer. The 2-155 with the Cummins is working well at about 240hp. I'd love to take that 2150 for a ride.

Where were you able to buy the military pistons and sleeves? Are they comprable in price to the standard assemblies?

As far as I know, we have the last of the military surplus piston and sleeve kits, enough to do about 10-12 engines. At the rate they're going I'll be out of them before the end of the year. Agco's overhaul kit consists of 6 piston/sleeve/ring assemblies, a full gasket set, and wristpin bushings and it lists for $1801.85 and uses stock 18:1 pistons and standard sleeves. To buy a 22.5:1 kit, full gasket set and wristpin bushings from us comes to $1650.55 and the military kits have hard nitrited sleeves, and I've never seen a set of those come out of a engine that were worn out. You can still buy the military kits from hercules, last I checked they were somewhere between 2500-3000 for a set.

It's a 8 button with a stock pressure plate. No, it won't hold all the power, but neither will the 3 speed. The owner dosen't plan on constantly using all the power, but it's awful nice to have sometimes.
