Dad called and let me know that he broke the front left spindle on the 550. I would like to replace the entire front end with an industrial axle since there is a loader on this tractor. Anyone know where I can locate one and if there would need to be major changes? Also, where would there be a good source for a front spindle?
He is supposed to be getting the serial number for me.
Thanks!

Kent Gordon has an Industial 550 for parts listed on ebay right now. You can get the entire front with spindles.

550 industrial non adjustable front ends are a dime a dozen
I know of 2 or 3 yards around here ( northern Indiana) that had them last fall It seems everyone wants a adjustable and of course they are the ones that brake
Don't let them try to up the price on these on you Just my opinion

What yards did you see those in? I am also in northern Indiana. Also, will the industrial front end go on without modifications?

Thanks for the info.

AB- I just replaced all my scraps of paper and sticky notes by printing out your list! Thanks for going to the trouble of compiling that.

Yes, I agree. Thanks AB. I have dealt with most if not all of those folks without problems. I notice you do not have RICKERT IMPLEMENT on that list. I just purchased two new 550 rads from them . THEY DON'T FIT!

They are about an inch shorter at the basal reservoir than my stock model, so that the fan does not clear the cowling. Boy, was there a horrible noise when I tried to start her up!
I am now waiting on them for their story...I guess I will send em back and have the old one re-cored. I just wanted to cut out the hassle...and now I have a whole bunch more hassle...
