The model 44 corn planter was a horse drawn planter, and the 44T model had a tractor hitch. The planter was built in the 40's and early 50's. They were painted all red except the seed and fertilizer boxes, and they were painted red. The words "Oliver Superior" was yellow and was painted on the seed hopper. as for finding a lid for one of the boxes, you never know. You might find one at a antique show or a swap meet at a tractor show.

My mistake, the planter was red and the seed and fertilizer boxes were green with the words "Oliver Superior" painted yellow.
