We fired up the G1355 and noticed a definite misfire on #2 piston. You could feel the vibration from the misfire. Now is it feasible to just repair the first two cylinders or am I looking at redoing the entire engine. My hired man used ether on it last year and said it didn't run well afterwards. We are parking it for now since I have others to use in the meantime. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. It only has 2600 hours on it.

CHECK THE PUSH TUBES FOR THE VAVLES .THEY WILL BEND IF TO MUCH ETHER IS USED .

Does it have a lot of blowby? For the amount of work required it sure doesn't pay to do 2 cylinders. Did you check valve adjustments? Ether shouldn't really be a problem unless it was abused locking the engine up. The stuff now a days isn't too powerful.
