I got the hydraulic housing off my 1650 tonight. Pan and gaskets were good, no leaks so the leak must be the front seal on the pump. How do I get the pump out? It appears I have to remove the 3pt internal cylinder. Is this correct? Also, does only one bolt hold the pump in and can I remove everything from the bottom or do I need to remove the top cover off the hydraulic housing to remove the servo valve first?

It is a 2 bolt mount. More than one pump was used. If it still a Vickers, I would get a repair kit. If a Cessna, throw it away. More later. Yes, You need to take the top off, put new seals in everything. More later. J.

The pump I have is the late style gear pump. I am not sure what model pump this is, but I know it is the later style. The intake tube is cast as part of the rear of the pump housing. I will be rebuiling the pump and replacing all seals. I should be able to rebuild the pump myself, right? Or is it better to take it to a hydraulic shop?
