At the HPOCA Winter Get together, my wife bought me both of John Culbertson's books, The Tractor Builders and Postscripts. I read during lunch at work, and finally got thru both of them. Very interesting, lots of information about Oliver and Charles City. They are worth the purchase price. Thanks John, for putting this all down for us to read and learn more about Oliver. Chris

I've read that book too, Chris,a couple times, and use it as a reference. It's a great look at the plant history from a long time employee of Oliver/White. It's kind of sad to read about the last days of of a great Iowa tractor builder.I've always regretted not touring that factory just 70 miles from me before it was torn down.
