Here's my suggestion. For a line

Bring back the 1655, 1755 and 1955. Put a new virsion 310-T in them "Quiet as a mouse" be sure to keep the responsivness and effecincy, improve the hyd cooling, keep the 3 speed, Add diff lock, a modern MFWD axle that turns on a dime with the short wheel base and over build the thing, make it so it will take 20,000+ hrs of non stop Full power abuse and keep the old styling. For the larger tractors use the Work horses 125, 145, 170, 195 and add a 215 hp. Those tractors were simple, reliable, preformed as good as anything and were cheaper yet the cabs were clean quiet and comfortable. Offer with or with out cab. And choice of color and name badge Oliver and the oliver paint, MM, Cockshutt or the silver.

Over all I think that such a line would offer somthing to the market, Low tec highly effecient tractors to get the job done.

First you'd have to convence farmers that power shifts, fancy cabs with toggel switch controls and computerised endrow turning is costing them money and is unessary.

Get the farmer out in the feild with that Oliver 195 have him drive it them go to a MX magnum of the same size and back again. drop hints by asking just how hard is it to use the clutch and shift every once and a wile, pull manual hyd leavers. Then after they are done test driving the tractors present them with the numbers. What those electonics are actualy costing them. Make them under stand they cah have a tractor that does the job is clean quiet and comfortable for 20 to 30K less. They would sell, you just have to get out and sell them somthing white and agco hasn't done. The key to fail. If I were you guys I'd send letters to AGCO. Tell them what you think.

As deisel said, I think it would be better to take up where oliver left off, make a 60 series. Silver paint? are you saying we should take white, too? I don't think so. let whit ehave white.... about the toggle switch controls and such, I PREFER the old style, like the old olivers and the older IHs. Lets see, Dsl, was that 25 mill to start building prototypes or jsut to buy the name?
