I have an older 770 and it looks like the serial number says 90 300 735 but this doesnt match anything I have seen on the serial number page. Can someone set me straight on this please!Thanks, Dave

Well you need to drop the last 3 digits. These are the code number for the gear train. Your tractor was made in the late spring early summer of 1960. About the time I started with a dealer. More questions.

So thats how it works,thanks alot.By the way i also have an oliver 70 with a replacement engine in it. Is there a way to tell the manufacture date without the original engine or should I just go with the engine thats in it now? What year did they put the aluminum hoods on the 70's.Thanks again.
