we had 2 880's as I grew up, both came new from dealer as RC's, one had 15.5x38 and one had 18.4x34's which worked best without duals on our soil. The 15.5 needed duals for heavy ground work

Just happen to have the Jan/Feb 2008 HPOC Magazine out and on page 22 it has the page from the price sheet for 880s that includes a "SPEED CHART" with the different transmission combinations. All the different combinations list 13.6-38, 15.5-38, 16.9-34, 18.4-34, and 18.4-30 as possible tire sizes for the 880.

Yes they were!. Back when I started (1960) there was some literature floating around that the competition was complaining about the results of the Nebraska test and how much power it developed. I need to check this but the 880 gas was tested with 14-34 (16.9 ) tires. 47 plus years is a long time to remeber some of this trival stuff!. There is a site for the tractor tests, I don't know it but if I find it I should bookmark it. J.

I'm guessing it could have been an option or a special order on a Row Crop. Don't know about a standard. I'd think they'd have been a 28. Normal size on a Row Crop at that time would have probably been a 12 (13.6)x38. I knew a guy here locally who had an 880 with an 1800A engine. He had 18.4x34s on that one.
