Hello, I am going to service the trans/power booster and am wondering what type/weight lube to put back in. Manual calls for 10w-30 engine oil with an Oliver additive 102 082-A. Is this additive available or is there a substitute for it. Also wondering where I can find a tach cable for this tractor. Thanks, Phil

Good call on the 10W-30 Kman. I think you are correct on that since he does have the power booster. Chris

Unless you are going to use it at temps below -30F. I would go with the 80-90. We went to that in 1962 already. We had less gear tooth problems. I think late operators manuals even listed it. The additive was obsolete 35 years ago. You need to remember what was current then may not be the in thing now. J.

I think you should stick to the 10w-30 if you have the power booster. Tractors without it use 80w-90 gear oil.

Hi, I believe 80-90W oil will do in the rear, no additive needed anymore. Try Korves Oliver for the tach cable, mine works well from them and looks identicle to original. Chris

Thanks for your help. I looked Korves up and have a cable on the way. Phil
