Need information on a Crawler I am looking to buy. 50's OC-3 or OC-4 which is it? Flathead 4 Cylinder gas, 6' blade. Need the cylinder positions to find #1 to help me get it started.

The HG and 90+% the same crawler as an OC-3 have 3 speeds forward. The OC-4 will have 4 speeds forward and 90% of the time will have 4 lower track rollers although 3 was an option.

#1 cylinder is the one up by the radiator. Thats true on about 99% of all in line engines. As far as what it is go to CLETRAC.ORG and you will be able to look at a lot of pictures of the old cletrac crawlers and maybe by doing so have a good guess as to what it might be
