Have any of you run across an Oliver model "E4D2-76" bulldozer.
It looks like a larger version of an OC-3.
I believe it may have had a hercules 2 or 3 cylinder diesel running at 1550 rpm?
I installed a IH 304 CI engine with the 3 speed transmission to slow it down and make it drivable. It had a old Dodge 250 CI 6 cylinder and was unusable before I put the IH engine and trans in it.
Looking for more information about this model.
Thanks,Eric

Most likely the 4 you have in the model number is an H. This would designate the hillside model ED2 means it was built with a Buda Diesel. 76 is the width of the tracks center to center. It was not built as a bulldozer. The E models were designated agriculture models, rollers are a little different. The war ended production so less than 100 were built. Too bad it is all cobled up.

It would be great if it still had the original engine, I have heard about the Buda engine.
Yes it is very wide (built for work on hills?)but works well with the IH engine.
Any idea who they where built for with such a low unit order?(military?)
Thanks for the info.Eric
