I bought this tractor about a month ago, and it sat outside for 3 1/2 years, and I would like to change all the oils. I was wondering if Trans Hydraulic oil woulod be ok. I use Trans Hydraulic oil in my Fordsons Super Major, and Dexta, my 880 David Brown, and I'm worried about cross contamination, inbetween the different implements I use, and have. Any thoughts on the matter, would be greatly, apreciated. Thanks Bruce.

That's all we use in our Olivers. We Have 2 Masseys so we buy MF's Perma-tran III trans-hydraulic oil, and use it in the 1600 and 1855 as well.

On a side note-We've never worried about cross contamination when we borrow or rent implements (or tractors) because the little bit that is in the system really won't change what's in the tractor by very much and we've never had a problem with it. When we rent an IH 986 from a local company, we use it on our stuff that all has different oil than is in the tractor. I'm sure if we owned the IH, we'd just run the Perma-Tran in that as well, as it's really about the same as IH's Hy-Trans oil. Only thing I might think about is if the previous tracotr had really dirty oil in it, but that's what the hydraulic filters are for. Kinda gross to see what comes out of them sometimes...

That's fine in the hydraulics. Just keep in mind that the hydraulic system is seperate from the rearend and transmission. They run gear lube.
