Just found a 1965 oliver 1950 on the high plains of Montana to buy. Runs great, Hydra-power works great, but has a bad heavy clunk in the final drive. maybe some teeth out of the bull gear as it makes it's noise in time with the turn of the wheels. Are any replacement parts to be had? How expensive? Do 1800-1850 interchange with the 1950? Is this the same transmission-final drive as the 1850 ?

Dave I believe that the 1950 Oliver was noted to have the bull gear break teeth when used under heavy loads, it seemed to be a weak point in them.I'm pretty sure that no other bull gear will cross over to the 1950. I don't know what the cost of a new bull gear is but I'm sure that they are not cheap. Oliver was bought out by White tractor company so if you check with a White dealer they can price you the parts you need and tell you the avalibilty of them. If your not sure where the nearest dealer is to you, do a search for agco and they do list the nearest dealer to you. Good Luck
