I think the insurance bill will kill us before we got started(notice i said we I want in too)all it would take is for someone to remove a safety panel and then lone the tractor to a friend who then takes us to court because the tractor didnt have a safety panel and he lost his arm and the jury felt sorry for him and gives him $50 million sometimes i really dont like the laws here. Also I think we should build kubota sized tractors for the yuppies they have alot of disposable income and we could compete with deere right off the bat.A scaled down 1655 would look pretty neat i think with a set back front axle or even four wheel drive and duals and little 1610 loader to match.Darn wish spring would get here so i could go plow.

AMEN, Highboy! I think it's always in a tractor company's best interests to start small and get bigger. Most of the companies that started big back in 20's, 30's and before are no longer with us (Rumley, Heider, Twin City, Lombard, etc.) Others merged with other comapnies but really none of them still exists today as it did in the beginning. I guess the only one in the world like that now is old JD (yes, i'm ducking for saying that!) I suppose you could count some of the foreign outfits, Belarus, Kubota, Zetor, JCB, but not many! But with only three American tractor companies left, we're going to have to do something before we end up like the auto industry-- the big three-- and nothing we little guys can do if we don't like the way they're made! Except buy foregin junk. . . . .
