Think I have solved the Super 55 vibrating mystery here. They ground the crank rear main journal offset from dead center throwing off the flywhel mounting hub .007. Then tried to correct it with balancing the flywheel, and of course they had balanced it 180 degrees off and so when I installed it correctly that threw off the balance really bad. Then to compound the problem it caused the timing gears to run real tight causing a lot on noise in the front cam gear area. And yes a 55 flywheel will go on 2 ways, been there and done it and all bolts started with just the fingers.
Now trying to get them to admit their mistake and grind the crank correctly, (first clean out the da__ piolet hole and try to do a reverse offset grind to center the flywheel hub back up and forget any balancing, was pretty good before, not much vibration and no gear noise.
Thanks guys for the ears, done crying now, well till I get the next phone call telling me they once again tried to balance their goof up out of it again,

I had a problem like you, but only with pistons. The pistionc where planed of the top ok, but they were damaged during transportation in between 2 shopes that they owned. I had to get new pistons, to replace the ruined ones. The sent me a bill for the work that they done. I told them to pound rubber, and sent them the bill for the new pistions, three days of tying up my service bay, and milage to get the new pistons. They handed their bill in for collection, and I told the collection company to take it to court. I have the damaged pistions for proof. And also I was ready to go to court, and to get a trial date. That was 3 years ago. the collection agentcy refused to do anything with it. Didn't have a court date, and didn't pay the bill. After all, it was their screw up, not mine. Good Luck

Good For You !!! But you may want to have your credit rating checked and see if they put a negative report on your credit rating.

The same thing happened to me and I had to take them to court to get it removed. They have the power to mess with someones credit, but regular "Joes" like us can't without spending time in court.

Go figure! Wonderful world of high finance.

Just my 2 cents worth.

When people threaten me, to take me to court, about paying a bill, and if I have a lagit reason, not to pay the bill in the first place, and I know it will be thrown out of court, in the first place, I tell them to go right ahead. See you in court. Just like my case, You have a leg to stand on. Make up a bill for your time, for retearing down your tractor, Time the job took in tying up your service bay, because of their stupid mistake, and if you need a to replace your flywheel, bill them for that to. Keep the fly wheel somewhere where it won't get damaged, and don't pay their bill. Let some idiotic collecton agentcy, threaten to take you to court. Tell them to go for it, and that you are going to take the damaged flywheel to court with you, for proof. You might have to tell the collection agentcy twice to go right ahead, and that you are ready for court. After all, it wasn't your screw up. This is bad for business on their part, not yours. Good Luck.
