Does anyone know the thickness of the cylinder sleeves in a Super 88 or 889 diesel engine with 3-3/4 inch pistons?

I as asking as I have 3-1/2 inch sleeves and want to know if I can bore them to 3-3/4 inch without any problems as they are thinned in the water jacket area, but not sure how much wall thickness I can get away with?

4 inch is thin on a 88 sleeve,, 3-7/8 is ok for a longer term, 4 inch bore might be a one year wonder then have to do it again,,, if you abuse it that is. big bore is not hard,, whiddle down a 3020 JD sleeve, whiddle down a 3020 diesil piston to the correct compression height, and you got a 4.25 bore and have a thicker sleeve than what a bored out 88 sleeve would be. I have a 88 engine being done up just like that,,, just had to bore the bottom of the block to fit the sleeve in, but the top flange OD was never touched on the 88 block.

I built a super 88 with 4" bore using 3 7/8" sleeves bored over. I think I still had 1/8" left over. It had a turbo and ran hard, never had a problem but long term may be iffy. Taper and out of round might come earlier with a thinner wall
