The original couplers on a 1650 ect. will accept a pioneer male end but they will not allow oil to flow, found out the hard way years ago!! Had to put Pioneers on the tractor

I also forgot to mention to you, thatthere are adapters to switch between John Deere quick couplers, and Pioneer quick couplers. And to make certan, if your hoses are too long, secure them uoo good, so that they don't hang down, to catch on any thing expecially in the bush.

If you are talking about quick coupliers for hooking up implements with hydraulic lines, it depends on what make of equipment you are hooking up. There are 2 thpes of couplers, Jonn Deere couplers, and Pioneer Couplers.
Now for your hard lines, I'd put a short rubber hydraulic line in between your hard line and your couplers. Also attatch a coupler support an the back of your tractor. It makes it easier for hooking the 2 implements together.

Ya,and if for some reason you loose the implement or forget to unhook the hose, with the breakaway,it'll just pop out and won't do any damage. Usually just run a short pire straight out the side, then run a hose back from there. Just be sure you have enough hose to allow the couplers to slide in to make hooking up easier. The ones on my 1600 are too short and are a bit of a pain. I'd suggest using a long enough hose to put a loop in them.
