Is anything different if I wanted to put a belt pulley onto my S88 Oliver. Is the transmission input shaft the same or is the drive shaft different?

Will one from a 77 fit my S88 and just bolt on the front of the transmission? Any ideas?

Hello, just done it to my super 77. Everything is the same you just need the drive gear that will go onto the input main shaft on trans. must remove dash and best to steam clean everything before hand as best you can all around that area. You will need a new seal to go under the sleeve on input shaft also along with the snap ring to hold gear all the way to the rear.Must also remember to remove the small pipe plug above the shifter rails and also remove the cover that is over all of that and leave it off. This is a step that MUST be done because this is where the gear oil runs out into the pulley unit then drains to the lower level and returns back to the rearend housing thought the main shaft bearing. Well if you need to know anything else just ask,Jeff. CLEAN EVERYTHING FIRST!
