Hey guys I bought a battled M5 diesel at an auction last Sat and took it down the rd and dynoed it here at a local repair shop, it smokes like a train and sounds mean , runs about 1820 RPM and when we pull it down to PTO 540 it is turning near 100 HP it it safe to run this tractor like that. We want to grind feed and the HP would be nice but is this common ?

First of all how did you check it on the dyno? You check horsepower at rated RPM which may not be 540.

hey I heard about that tractor you stole it not BOUGHT... I heard she is rough tho ,in my opinion I would tone her down a bit.We ran our M602 .60 over shaved hd and lots of fuel and yes it did it but they just are not that big of a tractor in my opinion but then knowing you pd so little I suppose you could do it and report back and tell us what broke first ! Good Luck !
