77-1550 manifold

I have a 77 oliver im working on, I would like to know if the intake port size in a 1550 manifold is larger and if it would fit or help with its power.

Sir,

The 1550 manifold will bolt right up to a 77. The manifold will have to be planed to prevent leaks past the manifold gaskets, about a $30 service. This will improve your power, but other improvements should be made first. Using 3 3/4" pistons/sleeves, shaving and/or porting the head, installing bigger valves, and a bigger carb. will all really improve power moreso than changing the manifold alone will. Good luck!
