My brother took both cranks in to the engine shop (Appleton Crankshaft) and they measured the old one and looked at the new one, and said that they could fix the old one and get bearings even though they are more difficult to find the undersize ones. The only trouble they saw is that the old one has something like a 4 degree bend to it so it would need to be straightened out, and that with the one rod journal being so worn, they would have to take it to atleast .020 under, but probably .030 to make it right. These are all things they are capable of being the top crankshaft grinding shop in all of Wisconsin, but they said overall we practically stole the other crankshaft and to just run the new one because thewre is no way they could fix the old one for that and get us new bearings. Anyone want the old one? Might still put it up on ebay and say whats all wrong with it. If someone is willing to pay $50 for it or even $5, it's better than the scrap heap. Go Packers!
