I have a friend who's dad recently passed away and she is battling cancer at the present. She's had someone offer her $5000 for one of her dad' antique tractors and doesn't know if it's a fair offer. It is an Oliver 77 Row crop. There are also 3 parts tractors that are part of the deal. I don't think the restoration has started, or if it has it's in the beginning stages. Just looking for some help for my friend to make sure she's not taken advantage of. Any feedback from knowledgeable people would be greatly appreciated. Scott

5 grand is a real good price.Restored RC 77's won't usually bring more than $3,500.

Nothing rare at all about that tractor.

Common price for a good running 77 is around $1500 give or take a little bit so that price is almost crazy. But if your the seller its a great price

If someone offered that kind of money it must be a fairly rare one. Mabey one of the first fleetline 77's?

The only thing I'd add is that I'm thinking of a 66 right up the road. Owned by a woman in her mid 90s,bought new by her husband. Has a wide front and I've honestly only seen it once. It's always in the barn and looks just like NEW. When that comes up for sale,if the word gets out,I can't even begin to imagine what that tractor is going to bring. If she's had an offer like that on that 77,it must be similar to this 66.
