Is the engine block or power lift from a 70 worth anything? Just wanted to double check before I took them in for scrap.

Sorry about this if it makes you mad. BUT TO ME IF YOU SCRAP any tractor part your just plain stupid. I'll not send one part to the scrap man not matter what it is or how bad it is. One of these days the people that get them will do just a the people of Japan did on Dec. 7th of 1941 and send it back to use as bullets. JUST PLAIN makes me MAD to here of a person scraping any tractor no matter what it is

Your post doesn't make me mad. Why would it? Actually, I'm glad for you that your life is so good that you can afford to expend energy being mad/upset at someone you don't even know for scraping parts of a tractor that no one wants. And besides, I don't know you from Adam, why would I care anyways?

I do find your comment demonstrates a level of ignorance and lack of intelligence, however. How do you know the parts I scrap are going overseas? Could they not be going to a steel mill in America? I'd love to find out how you know my engine block is going to China. Please inform us how you can make such an assertive statement?

Understand your anger is really focused on a reaction, not a root cause. Stopping scrap from going to a scrap yard won't stop the giant. Not buying from China in the first place will curb the demand to export steel scrap. So, based upon your "passionate" response, I had better not find a single appliance, nut, bolt, etc. that came from overseas at your homestead.

So, Old, I challenge you. Since you are so hell bent on keeping iron out of the scrap yard to the point of calling someone "stupid", make me an offer for my engine block and power lift so you can add it to your "collection." Man up - you made your bed in front of the world, now sleep in it! :P

I feel for you but i have had stuff here for years and no one buys it I just cut up 12 HGs only saving good rollers and the tranny. No one wants to pay anything for the tracks so i cut them all. When the Onion farmers were in business i sold parts but there about all gone and the town is on me so i'll be cutting and scraping lots of crawlers and only keeping the real nice parts all the rest is going and i have over 100 crawlers.

Yes, the block is in very good shape. I have a number of parts listed on eBay right now for a 70.
