I"m restoring a 990 Oliver GM with power steering. The power steering pump is missing. Do you know were I could locate one/ Or, do you know the name of the manufacturer of the original pump and the model number of it? I"d really appreciate your help.

Wait till I get back home Monday. I think (90+%) I still have the instruction sheet on how to install the power steering. I will look and if I do can make a photo copy and send if I have an address. J.

According to the parts book the 950 used a belt driven pump and the 990 and 995 used the same 101050as generator driven pump as the supers and 770/880.

No, it mounts on the right side, needs a large width pulley to drive it, and drives from the crankshaft off the front of the engine. When I say the right side of the tractor, I mean the right side as the operator sits on the tractor seat.

It's not factory original then so it it's hard to say what you are looking for. Since it's an ad on you may be better off removing it. They steer very well without power steering and look better without it too.

Are you talking about the pump that goes on the back of the generator or something else?

Can't say I've ever seen a 990 with power steering.We have 2 990's and neither have it.

Was it an aftermarket set-up?

I don't think so. But, it was more of an assist type of unit. The control for the assist is actually on the long steering arm, on the right, forward side of the tractor. But, the mount where the pump was looks to be an original.
