What was the original size of tires for the Oliver 70 tractors? Mine has 11X28 tires (12.4X28) and I am guessing that this is an oversized tire. Were they originaly equipped with 9X38 inch tires?

It looks like someone must have replaced the rims with some off another tractor. These larger tires might partially explain my powering-out problem at tractor pulls. Thanks.

The early row crops were available with either 9x40 or 11.25x36. Later ones were on 38s. My 39 is on 9x40. Standards,I don't know.

We have a 1941 70 which has the original 11-40's.
Wait till it is time to replace them$$$$$$$
Must use the 9.5R-40 as the 11-40's are no longer made.
