550 engine question

I am in the proses of overhauling mt 550 engine. What is the easiest way to get the pistons in?

Really the correct way is with a piston ring compressor. You can get them at any auto parts store. Make sure you get one with a lock on it, this makes it almost a one person job. Also oil generously or us engine assembly lube (also from any auto parts store) the piston rings and cylinder walls. Tap the piston down with a dead blow hammer or a wooden hammer handle LIGHTY, double check that you have the rod facing the correct way. This makes I difference with oiling (but I not sure on a 550 engine).
