I have a 77 is stuck in the low shift patten. I removed the rear upper cover and can see that both "slides are moving" but it wont go into the high shift pattern, Any help would be great!

Just take the transmission cover off. If you have a hydraulic unit the PTO shaft will need to be removed first. Look at the interlock assembly, if that is good. I would suspect wear in the shift rail and the detent ball is holding it with too much force because of normal wear. If that is your problem and your tractor has the gearbox for the belt pulley it will need to come off first. More questions? J.
