I have an 1850 with a wide front end. It has a saginaw powersteering hydromotor. The tractor has been sitting, mostly outside, for about 6 years. It will not turn to the right, and turns only part of the way to the left. Any suggestions? I have changed the filters, new oil and the hydromotor is getting oil. The unit is self bleeding. Once again, any suggestions?

Jerry:
We had similar problem with an 1850 a summer or two back. If the three point and remotes are working, check your hydraulic priority valve. It’s on left side rock-shaft case, while sitting on seat. Open backside of priority valve clean and reassemble. A slug or accumulated dirt or crud may have gotten into it???? Worth a try. Worked for us. Check your parts book far all what is inside. I think there’s n two way extended stem with a machined valve surface on short side, the longer side fitted with spring. I’d be best to check your parts book. I’m not entirely sure. It’s an age thing and my story.
