A neighbor may be selling a 550 Oliver with a loader. It just sits with two tires flat. I know the tractor runs well. It has 3 pt, and is in good shape otherwise, but are they a good unit? I don't know a thing about Olivers, but know that many of the older tractors are good ones if you just take care of them. I am considering it for the loader use only, and it is only a few hundred feet from my house. Any knowledge on this model is appreciated!!!

Read the article below. It is Oliver 550 Purchaser checklist. Excellent article found on the left side of this website under Research and Info, Articles, Maintenacne and Mechanicle.
I have a 550 with a loader and it is an excellent tractor. Best power to weight ratio back in the day. Power steering is a big plus on a loader tractor. Price varies: roughly $3000-$6500 depending on area and condition. Good Luck!

Thanks SW3!! I forgot to look in the articles, and a owner is always good to talk with. I will look for the points mentioned in the article to determine the price I want to pay if and when it is for sale.
