I'm not sure about this but can you hook up hydralic lines somehow to your internal pump on an 8N to run a front-end loader. Thanks for any replies.

Yes, but 1) the hydraulics are not live...you step on the clutch, the lift stops, and 2) the internal pump is very slow...less than 3 GPM; most loaders will cycle very slowly.

I've perfected a way to modify the internal hydraulics of an N to run any number of remote valves without chaining down the 3-point; in fact the 3-point stays fully functional. This involves re-routing the oil with some simple machine work.

I'll gladly share the how-to with anyone who mails me.

John, you are speaking my language. I picked up a loader for an N tractor at an auction, I want to install it on my Ferguson TO-20, but don't want to loose the use of my 3 point hitch. Please share with me how you are able to operate remote hydraulics, like for a loader, and still be able to operate the 3 point hitch ! thanks

Single acting cylinders can be operated off of the N hydraulic system. At the right front of the pump base plate is a hex head plug. A fitting can be screwed into that port. The rear lift arms must be held down. When the quadrant handle is raised, system pressure is available at that port.
