can anyone hazard a guess (educated or otherwise) as to how many 39 9n's were made with the starter button on the dash. i have heard that it was a very limited production run.
thanks, steve

Here's the scoop.

First of all this information was obtained in the Summer 1989 issue of the "N-Newsletter".

The safety starter switch was introduced at S/N 12,500 with some exceptions:

14 tractors were produced before S/N 10,732, which were the first. Then S/N 11,148, S/N 11,400, S/N 114,70, S/N 11,497, then several in the 12,000's. After S/N 12,500 there were 43 tractor produced with #12,853 being the last of the non-safety starter models.

Confused?..... me too. :-)

That's what's written in the Newsletter.

Tyler
