My 2N hydraulics don't move at all. The lever "springs " back up when I put it down. The lever will not stay in any position but up and nothing moves. The lift levers are all the way down and don't even wiggle when the lever is at the top. Any ideas out there? Also what is the proper way to use the lever. Do you lower it to the detent thingy or all the way down. What is the little adjustable detent thingy for?

The control valve is stuck and not pushing in when you move the control handle. You should remove the right hand inspection plate and with the tractor off reach into the oil by following the control rods down and try wiggling the control valve where the two control rods come toether in the oil. If the control valve goes in and the handle stays up you can start it up and try it again.

You probably should drain the oil and rince out the lift and pump with some kerosene etc and replace with new oil.
