I am hooking up the wires for my lights, (they were gone when I bought her), doe is make any difference where you get your "hot" lead for the switch. I also recall somthing about someone on this board commenting on a switch with resistors in it to change the load requirements on my generator. Is there such a switch? and where do you get them or are they "home" made? Thanks for your help in the past and on this question. Earl

Some people like to run the lights from the switched side of the ignition switch. This is ok as long as the switch can handle the additional current. Most new switches can.. Some of the older ones, have problem with the 3 amps of ignition current much less adding additional load to the switch. The switch with the resistor, would be a homemade item.. You need to figure how much current you want to eat up and then you could calculate the value in resistance both in ohms and importantly the wattage..
