Gray, Gray and more Gray! I have spent the last year and a handful of months bringing the '44 2N back to near original condition and gray is the real thing. I get alot of comments about when will I finish the paint job with the red or blue they expect. I have grown to love the gray because it sets the tractor apart from it's pre & post war cousins. The only variation is the black radiator and cowl, black steering wheel, and a decal set that is mostly blue. Have fun and enjoy the ride.

The 2N was all gray except for the radiator cap, steering wheel and battery door latch. The gray was a darker, muddier gray than the blue-ish battleship gray everybody tends to use. Get peterson & Beemer's Originality Guide for a good idea(not exact) of what the thing is supposed to look like. Also in Pripps Vintage Ford Tractors, p 72 the bottom tractor is closer to the original color than the top one.
