My father has a 9N Ford tractor. We believe it is between a 1941 and 1949. It runs good, but would need restoration. My father still uses it periodically,(he'84).Does anyone have an estimated value on this?

Corley, The 9n were build 1939 to 1942. The 2n were built 1942 to 1947. Most of the 9ns had I-beam radius rods on the front axle, although a few early 1942 2ns had them. The brake pedals were on both sides of the transmission. In good shape you can get $1000 to $2000. An 8n, with a four speed, is more. Best of luck!

First, let me say, it's value is what someone is willing to pay and you are willing to sell it for. That being said, there is a range depending on model and condition, that these go for. First need more info. Serial number is on a flat boss on the left side of the engine just below the head. That will give you the year and model. Secondly is the mechanical condition and the condition of the sheet metal. Do some checking on the numbers and post some particulars, and the guys will give you a range. This varies widely by location as well. Generally a N goes anywhere from $1500-$3500 depending on the above with exceptions on both ends.

Hope that is somewhat helpful.
