Yesterday as I was taking a shortcut suggested by a couple of my coworkers, I was rolling down a 2 lane country road and saw 3 tractors for sale. One was John Deere, one was Allis Chalmers and the third looked a lot like a Ford 8N. The hood was similar to 8N or a Ferguson of the same vintage. The hood was gray like 8N, the rest was blue, but a lighter shade than Ford used in the 60's & 70's. There was a long rectangular logo along the side of the hood that I think it said Leyland. I couldn't be sure as I was passing by at about 50 mph. I wanted to stop and look at it but there was no place to park an 18 wheeler. Has anybody here ever heard of this brand or know of a website where I can learn more about this tractor?

I have a catalogue from Federal Mogul aftermarket UK, (Greyhound Drive, Off Legrams Lane, Bradford, BD7 1NQ, England)listing Leyland parts made by AE and Payen. Also try Vapormatic (UK). There are numerous Vintage suppliers who can find new/used parts in Britain.
I am told that JWD still make tractors that are based on improved Leyland Nuffield components while 154`s (designed by Harry Ferguson Research Ltd - formed after he retired from MF - hence T20,9N similarities) are being produced by the thousand in India.
JCB excavators 1965-1980 were based on Leyland Skid units.
Apparently the Leyland Nuffield could out pull British spec. Fords and MFs of the same hp with less wheel slip. Hope this is of some help, Don
(P.S. Sorry if I am repeating myself as I couldn`t find my original message)

Leyland is a british tractor. i have a friend who owns one. probably a newer model than the one you saw. my conection to Leyland is my MG car which supplied parts for this car. It is tough to believe that I may be stuck with a bad deal, my Leyland tractor does look like an old Ford and it seems to have some years left, but
mainteniace and parts is everything. If there is a good sorce or other brand suplement parts let me know.
