Bearing Service, Schoolcraft Road east (I96 service drive) & Farmington. Haul it in the door, they'll have whatever you need. They actually list some parts cross-referenced to Ford tractor part numbers, although that will likely not work for a Vickers vane pump.

Dick,

I agree with David's comments and would add to take the bearing(s) and seal(s) and maybe even the shaft and housing with you when you go to the bearing house. They can match them up by just measuring them and do not necessarily need to have the number off of them. I do this all the time. The new parts may not look the same as the old ones but as long as the fit the shaft and the housing who cares.

Good luck, Kevin (WA)

Get the number off the bearing and go to the local bearing house, they can replace the bearing and probably seal also. The FNH parts man told me all bearings have a number stamped on the end and you can get another one from the bearing house of your choice. I would try www.timken.com. Good luck

I second this. For several reasons. Price, quality and availability.

Buying directly from a bearing company vs a dealer saves me a bundle every time I do so. The bearing companies also have the parts right there on the shelf. I can go to my dealer and order a bearing for $60 and wait two weeks, or go to the bearing store and get it for $7, and have it in my hand in about two minutes. Such a hard decision!

I also like the quality and selection I can get at a bearing store. As in do I want them sealed or non sealed, shielded? Etc. That's *very* nice! Because I don't always agree with the original decision. Such as Honda's preference for open bearings on their starters. I prefer that to be sealed, thank you very much.
