Hi all,

I've got my 2N up for sale, and I'm wondering if its priced right.

Maybe I'm high? Would anybody be willing to look at pics and give me their opinion?

I don't want to overprice it, will take a loss on it, but I'll keep it if its going to be to big a loss. I generally try to price things fair, even on the cheap side--my things generally sell in a week or less because of it, and I've had this up about a week and a half, so I wonder if I'm high?

I can wait longer, of course, if the market is just slow.

I bought this tractor a couple years ago for $1200--when I saw it, I thought that might be a little high, but I had already told the man, over the phone, I'd take it at $1200, and I'm a man of my word.

I've put a couple hundred in it since, starter, gages, etc plus maintenance I'm not counting.

It's kind of rusty. It needs some TLC. The loader is T'd into the stock hydraulics, instead of off a front pump. It has a slight rattle that comes and goes in the engine, but its never got worse or better since I've had it.

It was grinding a little going into gear, but a slight clutch linkage adjustment took care of that.

It seems to run well, just purrs at whatever RPM its set at. Always starts, except had to throw the charger on it this winter, I think twice, but it was very cold. Loader's a little slow, could probably use converted to a front pump. Loader has a seal leaking a good bit, too. 3-point works. There are a few small oil leaks elsewhere, but nothing too bad. The gas tank needs flushed. There's a few bad spots in the sheet metal here and there. That's about it. I was going to take it apart this year for paint and whatever else it might need, but I've had surgery on one shoulder and the other one is getting cut in July, so a LOT of my plans have changed :-) Can't do much of anything. Oh--it's priced at $1350obo.

Thanks for any input. You won't hurt my feelings, just want some honest opinions from people that have a better idea than me.

Take care,

Dan

I really apprciate the opinions, I had hoped I wasn't overpriced.

I just don't know that much about tractors (yet), and was unsure.

Sounds like I'm in the ballpark.

My location:

Just outside of Ivesdale, IL...a few miles SouthWest of Champaign, IL

Thanks again

Looks to be priced reasonable to me. In fact I have a neighbor that's wanting a loader tractor that might be interested depending on where you're located.

Hey Dan, just one man's opinion, but I think you've priced it more than fair. A running N would be a steal in middle Tennessee for 1350.00. The coming and going engine noise is a concern though. N's in rough, but running shape bring 1800.00 and up here, with 2500.00 the norm for one in good shape. Although prices range in different parts of the country. I'd like to have it but my wife would kick my pants.
