More progress tonight... had to drill out the four screws holding the brake drum to the hub - they were so rusted in, I busted my impact screwdriver trying to loosen them (cheap tools - ugh).

Thankfully, the hub/brake assembly slid right out once the brake drum was off (had to use The Persuader on that one, I did).

Tyler helped me take the right trumpet off, and we're now about as apart as I want to get with the project.

I begged my friend to sell me his '50 frontmount that I've been borrowing, but he wants to hang onto it for now (his Dad bought it new). I'm sure I could find some way to justify another one to the wife... (one to plow, one to mow?)

Oh well, back to the wire wheel.

Looks like you are going at it the right way. Piece by piece, rather than just slapping a coat of paint over some rusty metal. Makes me wish I still had mine in the works..... .... not much to do after all the work is done.... but it sure does look nice all completed. Keep the pictures coming.
