Sean:

I'm so excited, I could just sh%$! Whenever an old piece of iron particularly an N gets resurrected, I get practically orgasmic. The oil pressure would indicate that you have a real diamond there, albeit rough. Keep up the great work and keep the pictures and videos coming.

Are they 1/4" brake lines? I have some fittings. Have not tried them but I am sure they are the right size.

Considering what it looks like they probably thought it was dead LOL

But some stuff has been fixed recently... Lower lift arms cut off and new ends welded on. I stripped one and am getting ready to repaint it.. Draw bar fairly new...Wish I had a idea how long it was sitting. The people I got it from had no idea. It was there when they bought the property...2 or 3 years ago...They got tired of mowing around it :lol:

After seeing the condition of the wiring in the first pix of Fred, my money would be on: the wiring or alt. went belly up, and they tried to fix something they knew nothing about,..... ...And there he sat!!!!! !! :shock:

Sometimes... As bad as I hate to say this...
The owner dies, then no one else knows what the purpose of the equipment is, or what to do with it, till someone buys it for junk.

Never forget that one persons junk, can be another persons treasure.

Sean, Pick you up some brake lines they have double flares, at napa or a parts store,most have them in different lengths.You might find one the right length or get a little longer one ,cut it to length and reflare one end.

I almost got drunk, trying to keep up with the waving oil gauge. Never did get to see what the pressure was.

Yeh Den;

I'd love to be there when he fires that thing up!!!! 8) I told him last night to just by-pass the charging system, and rewire the ign., that way he can save his $$$$ for parts in case he has an engine prob. He can run Fred off the batt. long enough to re-torque the head and make sure it WILL run, with no spending, until he finds out for sure!!!

Gary :)
