You guys are on an awesome run of answering my questions tonight, so I'm going to get while the getting is good and the fish are biting!

I bought this junky Ford 8N that I am fixing up and I am new to tractors. This thing has the heaviest, beefy, rigid front end loader that I have seen at looking at several tractors and on Ebay. It has it's own hydraulic unit driven by a front end extension PTO shaft and an articulating bucket as wide as the tractor.

I cannot find anything out about this front end loader on the internet as far as a manual.

The guy that sold me the tractor put a dinosaur of an old grator blade on the back and the hydraulics could only lift it about 3 inches and it would bleed off and drag the ground. This grator blade has to weigh 550 pounds. I went to Rural King and bought an new one and no problems. I used the front end loader to chain onto the old grator blade just to pick it up and move it out of the way and it was no effort.

Comments please?

Ken

Sure looks like the loader I have on my 8n which is also a midwestern industries loader. I haven't been able to find a thing about this loader. Seems the company isn't anymore. Good luck finding info on it. If you do I sure would like to know where.-Bill

Ken...that looks alot like a Davis loader, which was later bought by Massey Ferguson. I want to say somewhere before or after Midwestern was linked up to them.

If I can find the info I'll post it.

Jeff

Here's a photo of a Davis someone posed a few days again, on craigslist. somewhere, IIRC.

I've owned a few, over the years, and have one to fix up, along with my "basketcase" 8N.

There's some manuals available for viewing at "Brand X".
