On going project...I just looked.... I split it on 9/29/07. All new bearings and seals in the 41 9N transmission. New clutch and pressure plate...Fly wheel was resurfaced....Sludge cleaned out of everything....Might have the rest back together in a week...It was a 4 beer job stabbing the tranny to the engine...I found out the wedges in the axel support come in handy rotating the engine to line it up with the tranny...Took some patients but I rocked and shaked them back together...

When I was younger me and some buddies were hunting we bought a couple case's of Buck horn...We used most of it for target practice..

For me its easier to do it that way because it makes lining it up a lot easier and it only take me one beer to do it LOL.

You mean fire her up before I put the hood on? Test clutch running? I hope I can back the clutch off. I had it adjusted to the max before this job,,, The disk had ben drinking mineral oil. That input shaft seal was toast....Had a steady drip. Never parked her pointing down hill..

No need to far it up, hook up the clutch linkage put it in gear, check to make sure the clutch releases. Jack up a rear wheel or try and spin the engine over by hand. See why I don't drank and werk, I only drank when I am giving advice so if you want good advice hold the free beer.

Yeah, I have heard of you people that can't do 2 things at on time, like walking and chewing gum at the same time, Hobo, can you do that? No, seriously, I understand why you don't do it. Most people don't want a drinking man working on their car, and are just looking for an excuse to sue over anything. I would not do it working for the public, either.
