We are responding to complaints about both the potty filter being too restrictive and too much spam getting through. Those sort of run counter to one another but, a way to deal with that, is by easing things for those with a proven posting history, real known YT users in other words, and making things a little more restrictive for those who are using anonymous accounts or brand new handles. Most spam comes through those types of handles.

It doesn't impact many YT users at all but there are some using anonymous well-known handles. We don't want them to be affected. Please take a look and see if you might be. We'll help.

I submitted a couple of questions over the weekend and did not get a reply to any of them. I am wondering if someone used my handle and posted something to offend anyone. I can assure you if this happened it was not me. I value the knowledge of everyone who donates their time and knowledge to to this board in order to help others learn.

One thing to remember, if it just bounced back to the forum when you pressed preview, the post may not have actually gone through. Could be a word that triggered the spam filter. That's one of the things we are trying to fix with this handle issue.

BTW, it appears your handle may not be registered. Let me know if you need help with that. If you know how to delete cookies in your browser, just delete the ytmag.com cookies named "ytf" and "yth". Then go to test forum and put in a post with your handle. When it asks for a password, put a good on it and finish the post. You should be good to go then!
