Howdy all,

Woke up this morning to about 5" of snow. That wasn't the bad part. The wind was blowing out of the North at 30 MPH. Talk about drifting. Oh well got the drive cleared this morning and again when I got home from work. Here is a link ol Jed Parked and waiting for the next storm.

Tell us more about how she handles. The front loader looks alot like the ford one that came with mine. (Deerborn i think) I just got a 6 foot blade for $175.00. Still got the new paint on it.
Mine steers like a tank and I need to do a lot of work on making it steer easier.
Pictures are great. I need to learn how to post pictures so I can get some suggestions on where to start.

The loader is a Wagner WM-4. The original bucket was in real bad shape so I took to small 4' skid loader buckets and cut them in two and welded them back together. The width of the bucket is the width of the rear wheels. The Wagner WM-4 is rated at 1000 lbs lifting capacity. I think that is pushing it. When I first got the loader on I was disappointed on how hard the tractor was to steer. But I quickly learned that it isn't a big deal. I use the right and left brakes to get the tractor turning. Once she gets turning you can do the rest with the steering wheel. I used the heck out of the loader adding about 80 tons of 3/4 crushed lime to my drive, and 2 summers ago I built a retaining wall that required 60 tons of the same gravel for backfill. So far so good. Now that all the landscaping is finished on my property, Jed is only used for driveway maintenance.

Steve,

What ya can't see in that pic is the Jetski. It is behind the boat. It is burried. 3 years ago when we got that big snow storm my boat looked like it was floating on snow. Ya couldn't even see the trailer! The snow had drifed in as high as the rub rail on the boat. I wish I was out on the boat listening to Jimmy Buffet with a cold one in my hand! Dream on right!

I live in central Indiana, 3 or so inches this AM. And it snowed and blew all day. My county and the next county to our East pulled their plow trucks off the road by 9 AM. I never started an engine all day. Took sunflower seed out to the birds two times today. Simi-retirement is great! Now it is Miller time.

Good looking rig you've got there, Hec! It looks very similar to my Wagner loader setup. It looks like you don't have any chains on your tires. Are the tires loaded or do you have any weight in the back? Any problems with traction while you're plowing? I'm always curious to see what others are using, since you never know when you might get a good idea from someone else.
My Nellie has a great set of double ring chains over some VERY worn out rears, calcium loaded tires (will change to washer fluid in spring), and maybe 300 lbs extra weight on the 3pt. Works on anything, even straight ice.

Carl send me your email address and I will send ya some close ups. I do have chains, calcium filled rear tires, and a weight on my rear blade. Here is another look.
