I parked my 8N nose down to remove the PTO shaft
for seal replacement(after checking archives and F04 manual), and found about a gallon of hydraulic
fluid on the ground, dripping from the weep holes
(holes with cotter keys)about 24 hours later. Is
this normal? Couldn't find answer in archives.
Thanks to all.

Dink..... ..not normal, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. Its a sign that your tranny input shaft seal is wornout....AND....you must of really stood your ol'N on its nose (grin). What I'd be more worried about is did you get some of that tranny oil on your clutch?

I would seriously consider pulling the starter and squirting some brake cleaner on your clutch. Then I would definately block the clutch peddle down when I parked it for the next coupple of months.

I would keep an eagle eye on the tranny oil dipstick level..... .Dell

Not normal. Tranny oil has come past the front main tranny shaft. The 'high tec' weep hole and cotter pin worked and prevented the clutch cavity from filling with tranny oil. Unless oil has gotten onto the clutch surface you may be able to continue as usual. ray
