I need to buy a new Ford oval and Ferguson emblem. I have checked around and all I can find is cast ovals with black lettering. I have seen some restoration photos of 2N/9Ns with Ford ovals with blue color backgrounds. Where do you get those? Is blue or black the correct/orig. color?

Buy the emblems, remove the black paint and paint the background blue. You can spray paint the entire emblem and then take a Dremel and buff the paint off the letters and oval outline. If you have a 2N, you can take the emblem to a trophy shop and let them engrave the little 2N at the bottom, unless you happen to have a set of really small metal stamps.

I was at a Ford/New Holland dealer yesterday, and he has the replacements with a silver background and black lettering. I have also included a link to the Tyler Neff page that shows a blue background and silver lettering. Perhaps Mr. Neff can enlighten us on his source, or did he hand paint them?
