I am replacing my front tires on my 8n with FEL.
I have 16 inch rims and am looking at getting either 6 inch or 6.5 inch wide tires. Is it better to go with the wider tire or does it not make much difference? It currently has old dry rotted 16x600 truck tires on it, and my tire dealer can get either the 6 inch or 6.5 inch 3 ribbed, what are your thoughts about the 3 ribbed?

Thanks for your input.

I have 6.00x16 4 rib on my 861 with loader and would not recommend these. The 4 rib seem to really tear up what ever you are driving on.

My self I run a pair of 7.50X16s on my 841 and right now have one 7.50X 16 on my 8N with loader and backhoe. With a loader the wide the better so as to keep from sinking when the loader bucket is full.

tri rib are fine.

Wider the better for weight. i'm sure the 6.x will be fine.. but if you have good clearance for 6.5 anbd they are not too much $$.. why not.
