I just bought a jubilee. I'm not sure what year
the tractor is. The hydraulics were slow and
would get slower while useing them. Today they
got where they would not lift my disk off the
ground. I also saw alot of air bubbles in the
hydraulic fluid. I don't know much about tractors
so I need alot of help. Thanks.

You have the piston type pump. If the lift will work at all it is not the pump. Sometimes the piston pump will loose one or more of it's pumping chambers but it will still pump with the others just as much pressure as before. It will just be slow and tremble when coming up on the lift arms.
If the pumps quits completely it is usually from air entering the pump because of bad O rings in the oil manifold connections or more often the seal on the shaft of the pump will go bad and let the pump draw in air instead of oil thereby making the pump loose it's prime. The piston pump will pump no air. If it has lost it's prime you may be able to prime it again by bleeding off the air by removing the pipe plug that is in the forward most part of the pump on the side of the pump head. Remove the plug and start the engine at low idle and run till all the air bubbles quit coming out with the oil. If the air won't quit coming out then you have an air leak drawing air into the pump.

rebuild the pump and replace the seal and bearings. also check for a badly worn pump shaft where the needle bearing runs. The pump shaft is always pushed to one side by the wobble plate and this will wear a place on the opposite side from the wobble plate thrust where the needle bearing runs. If the shaft is worn down at this point it is junk and will have to be replaced or a machinest braze it up and turn it back down to the original size.

You may have the original vane type pump on the tractor. The vane type has a square looking middle part and the newer piston pump is round.

The vane pump is hard to find parts for. I have read here on the board of people who have successfully rebuilt them though.

Look in the archives at Vane pumps if you do have one. Or you may want to consider replacing it with the newer piston pump. They do wear out too but the parts are still available

The pump I have has a round middle part and has
no adjustable flow control valve on the end.
Is this a vane pump or a piston pump? Would a
problem with the pump cause this type of problem
with the air bubbles in the fluid and all? Is there anything else I need to check? Sorry, I'm
very much a rookie this stuff. Thanks.

This is to confirm what you already suspect, you have "bad hydraulics", which is not much help....but....I recommend I&T FO-19 shop manual. It has excellent hydraulic troubleshooting guides. Readily available at most tractor parts emporiums, supporters of this most excellent N-Board, www.n-news.com, even Ford/New Holland fer peets shakes, $25 cheep, gettcha one..... Dell
